Resolution of today’s legal issues occurs not only in conventional legal arenas, but also requires strong representation before legislative and regulatory bodies.  Our government affairs practice group maintains a thorough understanding of Colorado’s legislative arena and executive regulatory process.  We are recognized for our expertise in representation of clients before legislative bodies, executive agencies, and in communication with public and private sector policy makers, including senior state and local government officials, as well as major business and trade groups.

Our work in shaping Colorado’s legal environment includes the drafting and passage of a comprehensive civil justice reform package, reformation of Colorado’s Governmental Immunity Act, passage and maintenance of workers’ compensation reform, improvements to Colorado’s insurance regulatory scheme, and intense participation in the continuing health care debate.  We have participated in over 30 legislative sessions on behalf of clients in insurance, financial services, regulated professions, public entity, and education sectors. Our expertise includes government affairs representation before executive agencies, other policy makers, and stakeholders.
