Hall & Evans, LLC presented a continuing legal education seminar for public entity professionals titled, “Keep the Train on the Tracks: Navigating Hazards Before the Lawsuit Even Starts” on May 22 in Denver, Colorado. The seminar helped attendees map out the best route to avoid legal troubles, even blowouts that can lead to claims.
Hall & Evans’ Senior Counsel Thomas Lyons and Paralegal Amber Tamborello presented the session, “Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?” that covered strategies for outlining responsibilities to maximize results among your legal staff. Special Counsel Matthew Hegarty and Associate Laura Ilardi Pearson presented the session, “An SPF Guide to Colorado’s Sunshine Laws” that discussed privileges for state and local government entities. Member Christina Gunn and Associate Kendra Smith presented the session, “We Don’t Need No Mueller Report” that provided a brief overview of internal investigations. Summit Litigation Support’s Litigation Technology Manager Anthony Atencio and Hall & Evans’ Associate Tanya Sevy presented the session, “There’s No Such Thing as Privacy” that focused on finding, capturing, and using social media Information in litigation and trial. Associates Aaron Thompson and Sevy provided a 2019 Colorado legislative update in the session, “I’m Just a Bill … Sitting Here on Capitol Hill.” Finally, Lyons and Gunn closed the seminar with “Things You Can Do to Help Us Win,” including tips, tricks, and lessons learned for risk mitigation.
