Paul C. Prezioso
Paul Prezioso’s practice focuses on matters involving transportation, public entity, premises liability, negligence, and administrative and regulatory law. His extensive background includes public service, private practice, and in-house counseling which enables him to anticipate the needs of his clients and deliver a wide range of legal services.
Before joining Hall & Evans, Mr. Prezioso served in-house as the Director of Compliance with Penn National Gaming, Inc. at their Chicagoland Hollywood Casino properties. In this role, he oversaw the Compliance and Risk Management departments and supervised litigation handled by outside counsel on regulatory, employment, workers’ compensation, and general liability matters. Mr. Prezioso also served as Deputy General Counsel with the Illinois Gaming Board, counseling the Board on licensing and regulatory matters, drafting administrative rules, and frequently representing the Board at contested administrative hearings before Administrative Law Judges.
Previously, Mr. Prezioso was an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General in Chicago, Illinois defending the State of Illinois and its officers, employees, and agencies in civil litigation in state and federal courts. Before his public sector career, Mr. Prezioso worked for two law firms as a litigator where he completed numerous jury trials and mandatory arbitrations. He has also been an Adjunct Professor of Law with the UIC John Marshall Law School, teaching Legal Writing to first-year law students.
