Bill Tatom

Associate

Bill Tatom is an Associate in the Hall & Evans Chicago office. His practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on health care matters, premises liability, and insurance defense.  Mr. Tatom defends health care providers, long-term care facilities, and local businesses facing litigation. His experience also includes defending matters involving commercial litigation, construction defects, breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation, warranty of habitability, property disputes, and product liability claims.

Mr. Tatom’s practice also includes he defense of correctional healthcare providers in medical and civil rights claims.

Mr. Tatom earned his JD from the University of Houston Law Center and was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and the Buck J. Wynne Memorial Scholarship.  Before his legal career, Mr. Tatom spent eight years teaching U.S. History and English.

Cynthia A. Loehr

Senior Associate

Cynthia Ann Loehr has over 25 years of litigation and administrative law experience.  Ms. Loehr’s background includes employment law, insurance defense, commercial litigation, environmental and natural resources law, real estate, and regulatory matters.  She has represented clients across courts in New Mexico and Montana, and before administrative agencies such as the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission, the New Mexico Environment Department, the Oil Conservation Commission, and Commissioner for Public Lands. 

She advises clients on wide variety of environmental issues in the context of real estate purchases and sales, renewable energy developments, and contaminated site response/remediation.  Her commercial litigation experience includes breach of contract, open accounts, fraud and unfair practices matters.

Prior to her career as an attorney, Ms. Loehr spent 15 years as a senior scientist and project manager in environmental, geologic, and engineering projects, including many in support of the United States Department of Energy.

Al Wheeler

Associate

Alfonso Wheeler joined Hall & Evans, LLC as a generalist associate in 2025.  Mr. Wheeler handles matters involving transportation, premises liability, and medical malpractice.

While earning his law degree, Mr. Wheeler was a Judicial Intern with Honorable Chief Justice Boatright at the Colorado Supreme Court, a Legal Intern with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, a Law Clerk at a small real estate firm in Denver, and a Summer Associate with Hall & Evans.

Marcella Alvarez Morgan has a broad range of civil litigation experience representing individuals, businesses, and insurers. Ms. Morgan’s practice includes premises liability, construction, trucking, employment, and environmental matters. Prior to joining Hall & Evans, Ms. Morgan was a litigator at firms in Albuquerque, NM and Boston, MA. While attending Northeastern University School of law, she served as an intern with a global financial services company, a real estate investment trust company, the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, and a legal aid foundation. Jacob Gudenkauf

Senior Associate

Jacob Gudenkauf is a litigator with a broad range of experience in construction and design, premises liability, health care, employment, toxic torts, commercial litigation, catastrophic injury, and coverage matters. Mr. Gudenkauf defends a variety of licensed professionals including architects, engineers, and design professionals involved with construction defect claims, as well as doctors, nurses, and health care providers facing medical malpractice claims. He counsels employers with investigations of harassment, retaliation, and discrimination and defends public entities in matters involving Constitutional torts, governmental immunity, and local governance.

Mr. Gudenkauf’s focus is on first seeking to understand his client’s goals and story. Whether through facilitating an early resolution or pursuing a matter through trial and final judgment, he always seeks to find creative solutions to the problems that face his clients and to help them reach their goals.

Mr. Gudenkauf graduated cum laude from Willamette University College of Law. During law school, he served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Elizabeth Weishaupl in Colorado’s 18th District and clerked with the Trial Division of the Oregon Department of Justice.
