Steven L. Gonzales

Counsel

Steve Gonzales has over 20 years of civil litigation experience. His practice is currently focused on professional liability, catastrophic injury, construction, and transportation. Mr. Gonzales also has extensive experience in commercial litigation and intentional torts. He has successfully defended his clients in dozens of jury and bench trials in state and federal courts, and administrative proceedings.

Mr. Gonzales previously served as Chair of the New Mexico Supreme Court Disciplinary Board and brings an elevated understanding of professional licensing and ethics matters to his professional liability practice. He frequently represents doctors, nurses, engineers, surveyors, pharmacists, and other licensed professionals before licensing boards and commissions.

Mr. Gonzales strives to find creative, winning solutions to client challenges.

Michael N. DiCanio

Michael DiCanio has over fifteen years of complex litigation experience with an emphasis on construction liability. Mr. DiCanio represents construction professionals, architects, and engineers in construction defect and professional liability disputes. Mr. DiCanio’s practice also involves representing clients in insurance disputes under a wide range of insurance policies, including directors and officers professional liability, first-party property, business interruption, commercial general liability, media liability, and builders risk.

Previously, Mr. DiCanio managed the defense of high-stakes litigation as in-house litigation counsel for a national home builder and practiced at global law firms in New York and New Jersey.

Francesca M. Coleman

Senior Associate

Francesca Coleman focuses on the defense of construction defect and professional liability claims. Ms. Coleman represents construction professionals, architects, and engineers throughout all phases of litigation. Ms. Coleman is also experienced with matters involving real estate nondisclosure, contract disputes, intra-business disputes, homeowner’s association disputes, premises liability, employment liability, and workers’ compensation. Before joining Hall & Evans, Ms. Coleman was an associate at a general civil litigation firm in Denver, CO where she gained extensive deposition and trial experience.

Ms. Coleman graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law on the Dean’s Honor Roll. While earning her J.D., she was a Law Intern with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office in Fort Collins, Colorado, and interned for insurance defense firms in Colorado and Wyoming.

Frank H. Ingham

Member

Frank Ingham is an experienced trial attorney who litigates complex commercial and residential construction disputes in state and federal court and arbitration, representing developers, design professionals, and contractors. Mr. Ingham litigates matters involving professional liability, premises liability, and general casualty, defending residential and commercial property owners from personal injury claims. He also defends trucking companies in cases involving serious bodily injury.

Prior to joining Hall & Evans, Mr. Ingham practiced in the same capacity for nine years at two successful insurance defense firms in Denver. From 2007 to 2012, he served as a criminal prosecutor for the Denver City Attorney’s Office, prosecuting over 200 jury and bench trials involving domestic violence, assault, and other criminal matters. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Ingham served as a Sergeant in the 18th Airborne Corps, including two tours of southwest Asia. After 4 years of military service, Mr. Ingham went on to work at a large Denver-based mutual fund company as a Series 7 and 63 licensed stockbroker.

David A. Belsheim

Senior Associate

David Belsheim is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Healthcare/Medical Malpractice Practice Area. Mr. Belsheim frequently defends hospitals and healthcare professionals in medical malpractice and billing matters. He also is experienced with legal professional liability, transportation matters, and general civil litigation defense.

Mr. Belsheim is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and served as an Intelligence Officer in the Air Force.
