Malcolm S. Mead

Hall & Evans, LLC is both delighted and saddened to announce that Malcolm S. Mead has retired from the practice of law after a 42-year career.  Malcolm joined Hall & Evans over 39 years ago and his well-deserved retirement began December 31, 2023.

Malcolm earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and went on to graduate from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California.  

Before Hall & Evans, Malcolm worked as a staff attorney for the Colorado Court of Appeals as well as in private practice with another Denver law firm.

During his 42-year career, Malcom gained an extensive background in appeals, products liability, public entity, and transportation. Malcolm filed numerous appellate briefs before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Colorado, and the Colorado Court of Appeals. He was also involved in briefing extensive legal questions before the district courts of Utah, Wyoming, Missouri, and Montana, as well as Colorado.

Malcolm was an editor and contributor to Hall & Evans’ “Rocky Mountain Litigation Reporter” and AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
