Following Hall & Evans, LLC’s ranking in the 2020 Edition of U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms,” Benton Barton was contacted for comments included in the recent Law Week Colorado article, “Colorado’s Best Law Firms 2020: Construction.”
Benton has worked hard to build up the Construction & Design Practice Group at Hall & Evans for over twenty years, and he is currently recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for his work in three practice areas: Construction Law; Arbitration; and, Construction Litigation. In the article, Benton discussed a few of the trends in Colorado’s booming construction industry that have played out in litigation and arbitration cases. Among other trends, Benton spoke about impacts caused by the shortage of skilled workers and project managers, the prevalence of arbitration provisions in construction contracts and how courts are interpreting them, and particular challenges which arise in defending significantly delayed design and construction claims.
