Benton Barton will update his annual risk management presentation for design professionals on Tuesday, September 20th at 9:00 am. This year’s program is titled: ‘Where Do We Go From Here? Navigating The Post-COVID Landscape For Design Professionals.’ Kathryn Breard Platt, Esq., Claims Professional of The Hartford in its Architects and Engineers Professional Liability division, will be co-presenting. As previewed in the topic description: ‘The past two years have taught us that perseverance – along with hindsight – can help us do our jobs better in the future. In early 2020, projects were hurtling forward at breakneck speed, with cranes dotting skylines, infrastructure work coming on line, and firms having difficulty finding qualified people. Today, the essential work of design and construction remains a significant economic engine, despite negative impacts from COVID, hiring challenges, materials shortages, inflation, and lost opportunities for teamwork. But, the future seems bright as we remain busy with productive and exciting pursuits. This presentation will discuss how national and world events have impacted design firms across the spectrum and how claims and litigation in the post-COVID world have changed forever.’
Our free presentation is hosted by Professional Underwriters Incorporated of Colorado, The Hartford and Hall & Evans, and has been submitted to AIA for 3 CE credits. Please get in touch with us through the link below if you have interest in attending.
