Denver Office Welcomes Three Attorneys

We are pleased to announce that Michael C. Helland, Emma K. Knight, and Josh Raaz have joined the Denver, Colorado office of Hall & Evans, LLC as Associates.

Mr. Helland centers his practice on the hospitality & retail industry and defends businesses, insurers, and individuals throughout Colorado.  He is also experienced with employment discrimination and wrongful termination cases involving Title VII, Title VI, ADA, and ADEA.  Mr. Helland began his career as a Judicial Fellow for the Honorable Charles M. Pratt and Elizabeth Beebe Volz at the 18th Judicial District Court and went on to serve as a Judicial Law Clerk with the Honorable Andrew P. McCallin at the Denver District Court.

Ms. Knight is experienced with all phases of litigation related to motor vehicle accidents, premises liability actions, construction defect claims, and dram shop actions.  In the insurance arena, she frequently defends carriers facing claims of UM/UIM breach of contract, common law bad faith, and statutory bad faith.  Ms. Knight is also experienced in the energy and natural resources industry, having counseled individuals and businesses on issues related to surface and mineral rights and oil and gas estates.

Mr. Raaz focuses his practice on employment, public entity, administrative & regulatory law, and trusts & estates.  He previously served as a Deputy District Attorney for the First Judicial District’s Attorney’s Office as well as a Senior Deputy District Attorney for the Eighteenth Judicial District’s Attorney’s Office.  As a prosecutor, Mr. Raaz was the lead attorney on more than 1,000 cases including homicides, sexual assaults, and crimes against children.
