Kurt R. Bonds

Kurt Bonds has practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1997, focusing on litigation and transactional law. His litigation practice includes trucking and transportation matters, hospitality & retail, premises liability, employment, products liability, insurance defense, workers’ compensation defense, and toxic tort law. On the transactional side, Mr. Bonds handles corporate law, business transactions, banking law, contracts, real estate matters, and homeowners’ association matters.

Mr. Bonds serves as a court appointed Arbitrator for the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County and as a Referee/Arbitrator for the Nevada Real Estate Division. He also teaches risk reduction classes at the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors on various issues including trademark, licensing, advertising, and contracts.

An active participant in the legal community, Mr. Bonds is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, International Bar Association, American Inns of Court, the Clark County Bar Association, the Community Associations Institute, and the Supreme Court Historical Society. He is a frequent seminar speaker on transactional law issues, estate planning, and legal issues affecting homeowners’ associations and management companies. Mr. Bonds was named one of Nevada’s top business attorneys in the 2008 “Legal Elite” issue of the Nevada Business Magazine. He has also been recognized in Mountain States Super Lawyers® for his business and corporate law practice.

Adam R. Knecht

Member

Adam Knecht concentrates his practice on both transactional and business/civil litigation. Mr. Knecht’s civil work encompasses all aspects of civil trial work, including business litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, non-competition litigation, transportation law, premises liability, and insurance defense. His civil practice includes defending catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, defending healthcare professions against medical malpractice and nursing home lawsuits, workers’ compensation defense, defense of civil rights claims, and defending the manufacturers of various products including building products and medical products. Mr. Knecht’s transactional practice involves mergers and acquisitions, general business transactions, real estate law, and securities law.

Mr. Knecht represents clients in a wide variety of litigation and appellate matters in Federal and State courts in Nevada and Utah. He has successfully defended and prosecuted cases through trial, serving as lead trial counsel in more than 20 cases generally involving complex commercial, business, premises liability, personal injury, and real estate issues. Mr. Knecht has also been recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers® for his business litigation law practice.

Prior to law practice, Mr. Knecht had many years of business management experience in both the technology and construction industries. He also advised and provided management consulting services for various mid to large companies while working for global consulting firms Accenture and Bridge Strategy Group. Subsequent to that, Mr. Knecht was the general manager of a construction and real estate development company.

Austin D. Huff

Associate

Austin Huff concentrates his practice in construction and design, real estate, land and mineral rights, and regulatory law.  He represents clients in state in federal courts across Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho, as well as on appeal at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Mr. Huff recently relocated from Idaho where he represented individuals and small businesses in a wide variety of consumer law disputes. Previously, he was an attorney with the Wyoming Public Service Commission where he ensured multi-state utility companies abided by relevant statutory and regulatory mandates, worked to resolve disputes, and advised appointed commissioners.

Mr. Huff earned his JD from the University of Wyoming College of Law while also earning a Master’s in Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming Haub School.  While in law school, Mr. Huff was named to the Dean’s List and he received the Ellbogen International Human Rights Law Scholarship that funded an internship at an human rights organization in Cambodia.  He also worked as an intern with the Department of Interior Solicitor’s office in Denver, Colorado, and was a student attorney with the University of Wyoming’s Natural Resources Clinic and Human Rights Clinic.

Fred Simpson has over 25 years of civil litigation experience representing individuals, businesses, and insurers. His practice includes general tort defense, defense of professional negligence claims, defense of disciplinary complaints against attorneys and real estate professionals, insurance coverage, insurance defense, defense of unfair trade practices claims, construction disputes, and real property/commercial litigation.

Mr. Simpson has tried multiple jury and bench trials in both state and federal court on a wide range of matters, including personal injury, fair debt collection practice act violations, insurance bad faith, property damage, employment/wage and hour claims, and easement disputes. He has also successfully briefed and argued multiple appeals before the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Montana Supreme Court. Additionally, Mr. Simpson conducts dispute resolution as a mediator.
