Administrative & Regulatory Law

We serve as counsel for individuals, entities, and trade organizations before regulatory and administrative agencies.  Our experience includes representation of clients’ interests with regard to rule making, licensing, transactional activities, administrative and disciplinary proceedings, administrative hearings, and appeals and procurement.

Representation of insurers, producers, and related entities and professionals includes matters involving licensing, rate and form filings, coverage, financial examinations, market conduct examinations, administrative and disciplinary proceedings for property, casualty, health, life, title, and miscellaneous lines of insurance.

We promote and protect clients’ business interests in both the transportation and railroad sectors in matters regulated by the Public Utilities Commission in Colorado.

Our work in shaping Colorado’s legal environment includes the drafting and passage of a comprehensive tort reform package, reformation of Colorado’s Governmental Immunity Act, passage and maintenance of workers’ compensation reform, improvements to Colorado’s insurance regulatory scheme, and intense participation in the continuing health care debate.  We have also worked for the passage or defeat of numerous pieces of legislation affecting the admitted property and casualty market, the surplus lines market, title insurers, health insurers, life insurers, producers, and related regulated professions.
