Michael W. Jones

It is with mixed emotions we announce that Michael W. Jones is retiring from the practice of law after a 47-year career. Mike joined Hall & Evans in 1974, and his well-deserved retirement will begin July 1, 2022.

After graduating cum laude from Duke University, Mike moved to Colorado to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While in law school, Mike began working at Hall & Evans, and during his tenure he served on the firm’s Executive Committee and Member Board for many years.

Mike gained an extensive background in professional liability, medical malpractice, product liability, and catastrophic injury cases. He frequently lectured on trial tactics and procedures and was avidly involved with the defense community. Mike served as President of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, Colorado Chapter President for the American Board of Trial Advocates, and Trial Tactics Chair for the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He was honored as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and named a Colorado Super Lawyer. Mike was admitted to the Colorado Bar, U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit.
