Matthew J. Ninneman

Following the 2025 announcements of Colorado Super Lawyers®, Matthew Ninneman was quoted in this week’s edition of Law Week Colorado.  Mr. Ninneman has been recognized by Colorado Super Lawyers® for Construction Litigation for the last eight years.  In the article “Construction Law Super Lawyers Eye Market Fluctuations, Assess Risk for Colorado Construction Projects in 2025,” Law Week spoke with Colorado Super Lawyers practicing construction law. The attorneys shared how construction professionals are preparing for increased risks tied to ongoing labor shortages, pricing volatility, and potential recession impacts.

Mr. Ninneman offered insight into how the pandemic has helped train many developers and contractors to shift some risk in their contracts to better anticipate cost fluctuations, market impacts, and related schedule delay. He noted that the pandemic taught industry professionals how to allow for longer construction schedules, utilize contingency values appropriately, and be more nimble. These practices, he explained, translate well to current concerns around tariffs, pricing, and supply chain disruptions.  Mr. Ninneman also discussed the upward trend in larger civil infrastructure projects and how artificial intelligence, robotics, and sustainable construction will be an integral part of the construction and design industry moving forward.
