Robert M. Ferm
Robert Ferm was appointed as Vice Chair of the Excess, Surplus Lines and Reinsurance General Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) for the 2026-2027 bar year. TIPS is a global network of over 10,000 members that fosters the success of a diverse community of tort, trial and insurance lawyers, professionals, and students, providing a premier forum for the exchange of information and ideas. The committee will focus on the relationship between excess and primary insurers, the laws, and regulations applicable to surplus lines, and reinsurance-specific issues.
Mr. Ferm also serves as current Vice Chair, and is a former Chair, of Insurance Regulation General Committee within TIPS.
