Nadia H. Patrick

Nadia Patrick is a trial lawyer with experience in litigating complex cases at the state and federal levels. She focuses her practice on civil litigation with an emphasis in catastrophic casualty, transportation law (including trucking and railroad defense), employment law, and toxic tort defense. Her unique experience allows her to help employers navigate workplace accidents, regulatory inspections, personal liability investigations, and crisis management and prevention. Nadia represents Fortune 500 companies in the transportation and medical sectors, and has significant experience representing insurance clients in high-value personal injury cases.

Nadia began her career litigating cases on behalf of the U.S. Department of Labor and was able to hone her skills as a litigator by trying numerous cases on behalf of the Secretary of Labor. She went on to work for the Colorado Office of the Attorney General, where she represented the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) and assisted with drafting some of the first retail marijuana regulations in the nation.

Svetlana V. Scherr

Senior Associate

Svetlana Scherr joined Hall & Evans, LLC as an Associate in 2022 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2025. She represents employers, insurers, and professionals in a wide range of legal matters. In addition to her extensive work in workers’ compensation, she handles cases involving professional liability, auto and transportation claims, construction disputes, and general civil liability matters, including cases ranging from minor injuries to wrongful death. 

Ms. Scherr earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2021 and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of South Alabama in 2012. Her legal practice is informed by more than a decade of prior experience in the accounting and tax fields. Ms. Scherr is a Certified Public Accountant and is Accredited in Business Valuation, with a background in trusts and estates, employment agreements, tax compliance, business valuation, accounting, financial reporting, and auditing. This dual experience allows her to navigate complex financial and legal issues with skill.

Stanley James Cassavant

Member

Stanley Cassavant’s trial practice focuses on premises liability, hospitality and retail, trucking, dog bite, and insurance defense. Stan has a background in the insurance industry, served as a prosecutor, and has tried over thirty cases before New Mexico juries. Through his experience, he brings a thoughtful, firsthand perspective to all his clients and has reached hundreds of favorable resolutions.

He served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Metropolitan Division and later with the Community Crimes Division in New Mexico’s Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, Stan focused on crimes that affected citizens and businesses such as drunk driving, white-collar crime, embezzlement, public assistance fraud, identity theft, and violent crimes.

Prior to joining Hall & Evans, Stan served as in-house counsel for multiple national insurance carriers where he defended clients in civil tort actions. Stan is committed to providing strategic approaches and positive outcomes for his clients.

Shannon M. Hurley

Senior Associate

Shannon Hurley’s practice focuses on general civil litigation and transportation defense. Before joining Hall & Evans, Ms. Hurley served as a Deputy District Attorney with the Denver District Attorney’s Office and the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. During her time as a prosecutor, she tried over 70 jury trials to verdict and handled all types of criminal matters ranging from misdemeanors and domestic violence to felony sexual assaults and first-degree murder.

Erin E. Snow

Counsel

Erin Snow has substantial experienced navigating Colorado’s government affairs and regulatory dynamics, and defends individuals and businesses in general liability, premises liability, transportation litigation, and other matters. 

With over a decade of legislative experience, Ms. Snow has provided counsel to a wide variety of businesses, nonprofits, and insurers before the Colorado General Assembly and the Division of Insurance.

Before joining Hall & Evans, Ms. Snow was an elected leadership development coach and education policy program leader for a non-profit supporting a national network of civic leaders to end educational inequity.  Previously, she served as Legislative Counsel for U.S. Representative Beto O’Rourke, where she advised on veterans’ affairs, education, voting rights, campaign finance, and immigration.  As Staff Director for the U.S. House of Representatives Veterans’ Affairs Economic Opportunity Subcommittee, she drafted and managed legislative priorities at the federal level and oversaw VA and Department of Labor programs. Locally, Ms. Snow served as Policy Director for a former Colorado Senator and congressional candidate, a Consultant for the Colorado Department of Education & Donnell-Kay Foundation, and a Legal Fellow for a Colorado Senator. Before going to law school, she taught 7th grade English in Los Angeles, California as a Teach For America corps member.
