Joshua Sommers is a civil litigator with a background rooted in insurance defense.  Mr. Sommers concentrates his practice on civil litigation matters involving transportation, products liability, and premises liability, with an emphasis on defending retailers, restaurants, and hospitality industry clientele.  He regularly protects the interests of large and small businesses, manufacturers, insurers, and retailers, in state and federal courts across Colorado and Nevada.  Mr. Sommers is experienced with all stages of litigation having successfully represented clients in binding and non-binding arbitrations, bench trials, and jury trials.

Prior to joining Hall & Evans, Mr. Sommers worked for defense firms in Denver, Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada where he represented personal and commercial clients against claims of premises liability, products liability, automobile negligence, and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims.

Lynn Kuznitz

Lynn Kuznitz is a results-oriented attorney who defends her clients in State and Federal courts across the western United States. She is a seasoned trial attorney who has obtained multiple defense verdicts and is experienced in all phases of litigation.

Lynn’s practice primarily focuses on civil litigation and health care law. She has represented nurses, physicians, counselors, veterinarians, dentists, and other health care professionals in defense of malpractice claims, board complaints, and licensing issues. She also provides a variety of litigation and non-litigation services for hospitals, surgical centers, skilled nursing facilities, professional corporations, and other health care entities in litigation of professional liability, contract claims, premises liability, personal injury, and other tort claims.

Lynn has also represented clients in a wide range of general tort and liability cases through all phases of litigation, from immediate accident investigation through trial, arbitration, or appeal. Her experience is broad; Lynn has defended her clients against high-exposure claims including catastrophic personal injuries, wrongful death, railroad incidents, toxic torts, and premises liability.

Lynn takes a collaborative and proactive approach to her practice to ensure that client goals and concerns are understood and incorporated into the defense of all cases from the start. She works to steer all cases to the best possible result for her clients.

Steven L. Gonzales

Counsel

Steve Gonzales has over 20 years of civil litigation experience. His practice is currently focused on professional liability, catastrophic injury, construction, and transportation. Mr. Gonzales also has extensive experience in commercial litigation and intentional torts. He has successfully defended his clients in dozens of jury and bench trials in state and federal courts, and administrative proceedings.

Mr. Gonzales previously served as Chair of the New Mexico Supreme Court Disciplinary Board and brings an elevated understanding of professional licensing and ethics matters to his professional liability practice. He frequently represents doctors, nurses, engineers, surveyors, pharmacists, and other licensed professionals before licensing boards and commissions.

Bob Weiner

Bob Weiner is a trial attorney with over 20 years of prosecutorial experience.  Mr. Weiner defends individuals, corporations, and public entities in all types of complex civil litigation.

Mr. Weiner previously served as Senior Chief Deputy District Attorney for the First Judicial District Attorney’s office.  While there, he was the lead attorney on numerous complex state cases including first-degree murders, sexual assaults, crimes against children, arsons, and vehicular fatalities.  In addition to managing high-profile and high-stakes litigation, Mr. Weiner worked in conjunction with Federal agencies, advised law enforcement agencies, supervised all felony cases, and a team of Chief Deputy District Attorneys.

David Belsheim is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Healthcare/Medical Malpractice Practice Area. Mr. Belsheim frequently defends hospitals and healthcare professionals in medical malpractice and billing matters. Mr. Belsheim is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and served as an Intelligence Officer in the Air Force. He earned his law degree from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. Following law school, Mr. Belsheim clerked for the Honorable Herbert L. Stern, III, in Denver District Court.
