Bob Weiner

Bob Weiner is a trial attorney with over 20 years of prosecutorial experience.  Mr. Weiner defends individuals, corporations, and public entities in all types of complex civil litigation.

Mr. Weiner previously served as Senior Chief Deputy District Attorney for the First Judicial District Attorney’s office.  While there, he was the lead attorney on numerous complex state cases including first-degree murders, sexual assaults, crimes against children, arsons, and vehicular fatalities.  In addition to managing high-profile and high-stakes litigation, Mr. Weiner worked in conjunction with Federal agencies, advised law enforcement agencies, supervised all felony cases, and a team of Chief Deputy District Attorneys.

Jacob R. Woods

Jacob Woods is a solution-focused trial attorney who is committed to helping his clients achieve the best possible outcome. Jacob’s transportation practice centers on railroad real estate matters. Jacob also concentrates in handling claims under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA), the Safety Appliance Act, and the Locomotive Inspection Act, as well as occupational claims and grade crossing accidents.

In addition to his transportation practice, Jacob has extensive experience handling wrongful death and serious injury tort claims, with an emphasis in premises and products liability, and recreational outfitter cases. Jacob has obtained highly favorable outcomes for his clients at trial and in pre-trial motions practice.

Prior to joining Hall & Evans in 2019, Jacob served as a Deputy District Attorney for eight years in El Paso County and Adams County, two of Colorado’s busiest jurisdictions. As a prosecutor he tried over seventy jury trials. His prosecution experience includes first-degree murder cases, robberies, burglaries, felony level vehicular cases, and narcotics and property crimes. Jacob also assisted with training programs for new attorneys, law enforcement cadets, probation officers, and citizens.

  • Running, road bicycling, skiing, golf, and clean mountain living with his wife of 40 years. Completed the 2022 Triple Bypass 110 mile bike race over three Colorado mountain passes.  After graduating from Las Cruces High School and becoming an Eagle Scout, Mr. Yarbrough “grew up” in the law from the age of 18 by working throughout college for a criminal defense attorney who represented inmates involved in the 1980 New Mexico State Penitentiary riots, and other notorious characters.  He interned for the United States Senate Budget Committee in Washington, DC in 1983 and put himself through UNM courtesy of American Legion speech scholarships.  He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He began clerking at Butt Thornton & Baehr in 1986 during law school and remained with the firm until 2015. Mr. Yarbrough and his wife have three exceptional adult sons, three outstanding daughters-in-law, and the three wonderful grandchildren.

Kenneth H. Lyman

Senior Counsel

Mr. Lyman is a trial attorney with a diverse litigation practice. Based on his substantial experience defending catastrophic personal injury claims, including serious brain, spinal cord and burn injuries, Mr. Lyman guides his clients through the complex process of investigation, discovery, mediation, and trial.

Energy and transportation companies rely on him to defend claims of personal injury and property damage arising out of mining operations, oil and gas exploration, oil field service operations, cranes, and trucking/transportation activities.

Mr. Lyman handles large and frequent product liability claims arising out of alleged recurrent design, manufacturing defects, or recall problems.
