Marivette G. Rivera

Associate

Marivette Rivera concentrates her practice on healthcare and professional liability.  Ms. Rivera defends hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers facing medical malpractice litigation.

Before her legal career, Ms. Rivera obtained first-hand knowledge of the justice system while serving as a Senior/High-Risk Probation Officer in Seminole County, Florida.  After earning her law degree, Ms. Rivera continued her passion to obtain justice by handling a criminal docket as Public Defender in the Ninth Circuit of Florida.

Ms. Rivera recently relocated from Orlando, Florida, where she owned and managed a family law practice.  Ms. Rivera has represented hundreds of clients before the court on contested and uncontested matters. Additionally, Ms. Rivera is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and has received training in Interdisciplinary Collaborative Law Practice. Ms. Rivera understands through her experience litigating cases that not all cases require litigation. Unlike the adversarial encounters that take place in a courtroom, alternative dispute resolutions such as mediation are an opportunity to bring opposing parties together to discuss their issues and come to agreed settlement terms. No matter what approach the client chooses to resolve their case, Ms. Rivera will work zealously for the client.
