Stephen Ruiz joined Hall & Evans as an Associate in 2022. Mr. Ruiz’s practice includes railroad and transportation litigation, premises liability, medical malpractice defense, and gig-economy matters.

Mr. Ruiz is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. While in law school, he joined Hall & Evans as a Summer Associate in 2021 and continued to work for the firm through his law school graduation in May 2022. Before working with Hall & Evans, he was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Paul Burmaster with the 10th Judicial District Court of Kansas. He also clerked at small private firms in Kansas City, Missouri, gaining experience in employment law, family law, criminal defense, and appellate practice. Additionally, Mr. Ruiz was Treasurer of the Latino Law Student Association, an Admissions Office Student Emissary, involved in moot court, and was ranked in the top 1/3 of his graduating class.
