Ms. Mickley’s practice focuses on insurance coverage and advice, as well as litigation and coverage disputes including bad faith and other extra-contractual claims. Her experience spans a wide range of coverages, including general liability, director and officers, errors and omissions, auto, homeowners, occupational accident, and excess policies. She enjoys the complexities of coverage analysis and litigation and strives to develop long-term working relationships with her clients to be a valued resource in avoiding potential pitfalls and risks. With recent changes in Colorado law, the potential for extra-contractual exposure in Colorado has significantly increased, making effective defense all the more important. Ms. Mickley’s practice also includes general and commercial litigation and environmental matters.

Licensed in both Colorado and Texas and practicing more than 20 years, she has considerable litigation experience in a wide variety of matters, including: personal injury, products liability, wrongful death, premises liability, professional liability, contract disputes, construction defect, and mechanics liens.

Coverage is uniquely suited to motion-practice and Ms. Mickley successfully achieves summary judgment or orders of dismissal for her clients on numerous occasions. Recent victories include: granting of motion to dismiss third-party contribution claims in Gebremedhin v. American Family Mutual Insurance Company: summary judgment in Chalet Townhome Ass’n v. Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company; and summary judgment in Johnson v. Ironshore Indemnity, Inc.
